Four Months

Nathan had his four month checkup today.  He’s 14 lbs 2 oz (30th percentile), 25 inches long (70th percentile), and has a head circumference of 17 inches (98th percentile).  Dr. Hogue said he looks great and is really strong!  He was impressed that he’s able to “stand” on his own.  He thinks he’s teething.  He doesn’t feel any teeth coming through, but he said he’s showing all the signs of it.

We were also given the okay to start cereal and juice.  I’m not ready for him to start juice yet, though.  So we’re going to see how he handles rice cereal.  If he doesn’t like it, we’ll try some juice.  If he takes the cereal, we’ll stick with that for a while.

Be on the lookout for pictures from his first encounter with cereal.  I’m sure they’ll be awesomely gross.  🙂

  1. He said he doesn’t feel them poking through yet. So I’m assuming that’s a tooth that’s just not broken the skin yet.
